Jon Tate
Hailed as his generation’s
“wonder child”, the spotlight of the world’s expectations
grew brighter and brighter as Jon grew up. The son of a powerful
military leader and a brilliant robotics engineer, he was shaped
into a precise, efficient inventor prodigy at a very young age.
As Jon grew up and became the world’s most talented robotic
inventor, the challenges, trials and tribulations became more intense,
finding Jon facing the task of building a machine capable of ending
the war.
On The Apneist album, Jon tells the story of his life as he sinks
to his death.

Sandy McNamara
The daughter of a wealthy antique collector, Sandy lived in Jon’s
neighborhood when she was young. The two were childhood friends
and spent their afternoons running around together exploring the
neighborhood.
Sandy and Jon were both devastated when Sandy’s family moved
away. The two did not reunite until many years later, once both
families had moved to Seascape, an underwater city built to protect
the nation’s wealthiest families. Once reunited, their lives
fell into a whirlwind of change…

SAN-D4000
When Sandy’s family moved away from Jon’s neighborhood,
Jon built a robot to be his new companion. He modeled the machine’s
mannerisms after Sandy, even using a captured sample of her voice,
and called her SAN-D4000. This was the first robot that Jon created
without assistance from his mother.
SAN-D served as a companion to Jon in multiple parts of his life,
helping him through tough times. Though simple in design, her capacity
for love was very advanced and extremely innovative at the time,
especially for a child to design. |

Jeff Tate
Jon’s father, Jeff Tate, a military general, recognized his
son’s talent early on and was determined to put his son’s
abilities to the use of the government. He enrolled Jon into government-controlled
education when he was just a boy, putting him under the supervision
and guidance of some of the world’s top engineering professors.
Jeff was a stern disciplinarian, and went to great lengths to keep
Jon’s education moving forward at all costs, crushing everything
that stood in its way, determined to be the father of the world’s
savior. |

Karen Tate
Jon’s mother, Karen Tate, a celebrated robotic engineer, nurtured
Jon’s genius by showing him the trade of invention and giving
him endless love and encouragement. She was Jon’s biggest
fan and was never shy about expressing it.
More so than her husband, Karen wanted Jon to lead a normal life.
She wanted him to experience love, fun, trouble and everything else
that went along with growing up, but in the end, her husband always
had the final say. |

Angel Army
When Jon completed his education, he was recruited by his father
and the military to build a machine that could end all wars.
Jon spent years on the design, which was above and beyond his finest
work. These indestructible peace machines were wildly successful,
traveling around the world disarming all threats… until something
went very wrong. |
